Review by hotel critic
I recently had the chance to unwind at the Residence & Conference Centre in Barrie, and it was quite an experience! Nestled right by Georgian College, it's a convenient spot, especially for outdoor enthusiasts like me and my partner who love to explore. We were thrilled to find that this place caters to the active crowd, offering beach volleyball courts and various sports facilities just outside our door-perfect for shaking off the stress of city life. While the rooms themselves aren't going to impress you with high-end glamour, they're spacious and clean, boasting a private ensuite bathroom-definitely a plus for a little extra comfort. The kitchens were quite handy too; we made use of the fridge and microwave for our late-night snacks after long days filled with activities. Plus, the on-site coin-operated laundry was a game changer, allowing us to pack light and keep our clothes fresh for our adventures! While there weren't many fancy amenities, the friendly staff made us feel right at home. With a Tim Horton's on campus for our caffeine fixes and easy access to nearby attractions like Simcoe County Museum and the breathtaking Tree Top Trekking, we really enjoyed our stay. It's a fantastic base for enjoying the calmness of nature while still being part of a vibrant community!
